The product is harder to score than the bundle. At its best — summarising a long email thread, drafting inside a Doc, answering questions that touch live Google services — it feels like the future the demos promised. Then you return the next day with a similar task and get something oddly literal or half-finished. Every assistant has variance; Gemini's is wide enough that subscribers describe keeping a rival's free tier open as a second opinion, which is not a habit a paid product should teach.
The in-app integrations, the headline reason to choose it, are also uneven.
